Middle School Advisories

Conchita Public Relations

Conchita Espinosa Academy’s Public Relations advisory is extremely busy.  Our reporters are constantly creating, learning and gathering information about the school.  Our students research and write press releases, design websites and animation, as well as plan and coordinate events.  Press releases are published in our community newspapers such as The Miami Herald.  Students are also responsible for our lecture series “Café at Conchita” at its guests.  Under the direction of Ms. Santalo, students also maintain a blog with current news of Conchita Espinosa Academy.

CTV

Students in middle school enjoy our daily morning news thanks to the hard work from the dedicated CTV staff and their mentor, Mr. Companioni.  Every day these students write, produce and film the news and events for Conchita Espinosa Academy.  This group of hard workers documents all the events of the school. Tune in!

Choir
Choir is an advisory where all students’ voices can be heard.  Choir has many talented students.  In this advisory you can express your self through singing.  Singing is a part of their everyday lives and they enjoy doing it and have a passion for it.  Choir has performed in many different venues including Carnegie Hall, 4th grade communion and festival.  They are always amazing audiences with their beautiful voices.

Art
Mrs. Marlin guides these gifted artists to create wonderful masterpieces and enhance our school through visual arts! You may see many of their latest creations on Mrs. Marlin’s board. Check back on our blog for recent work.

Dance

Middle school dance advisory meets daily to practice and train under the direction of the experience and talented Ms. Danella Bedford. This advisory focuses on technique and becoming stronger dancers. They have recently performed in Gainesville, Florida.

Cross Country
Put your best paw forward! Coach Carlos keeps the running Cougars striving to make great strides. Students in cross county train every day and compete in local and statewide track meets. Keep up the good work!

Conchita Magazine

Mrs. Jackson created Conchita Magazine as a work of love. It was the first of many wonderful advisories. It is a student publication in which articles, advertisements sales, and planning are all coordinated and executed by the students. They also do in house and fund raising to help cover some expenses. Keep up the great work. We are looking forward to more wonderful issues!

Yearbook

Ms. Gonzalez and her staff were hard at work all year long to produce our wonderful yearbook, Legado. It truly is a work of love and a wonderful legacy for our Conchita family. Students are responsible for pictures and layout design of the entire yearbook.

Life Cue

In an effort to help our community in need, Conchita Espinosa Academy’s Life Cue students collect donations and organize several projects throughout the year. Currently, Ms. Sanchez, Ms. Julio, and their dedicated students are collecting food for Camillus House. They continue collecting box tops, soda can tabs, and also boxes and blankets for the Humane Society.

Enviormental Awareness

Under the direction of Mr. Izquierdo, Enviormental Awareness creates presentations to keep the Conchita community aware of the importance of going green.
