Caminos de España
A Journey into Classical Spanish Dance and Music

Conchita Espinosa Academy’s Conservatory of the Arts will celebrate our Hispanic roots with a program entitled Caminos de España on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 7:00 PM, in the Rosita Segovia Theater located at 12975 SW 6 Street. It’s a journey through classical Spanish dance and music.

A select group of Conservatory Spanish Dance students and guest Conservatory alumni will join the classical Spanish dance company, Esencia, under the direction of Marisol Moreno and Raul Salcedo in this lively program celebrating the diverse richness of the contributions made by the Hispanic culture in dance and music. Classical Spanish, Escuela Bolera, folklore, and live music provided by pianist, Vivian Gonzalez, will delight our audience and enrich our understanding of the beauty and depth of the Spanish roots we share.

For ticket information, please contact Isabel Chao at 305-227-1149.

Environmental Awareness is currently campaigning to save the chimps sanctuary in Fort Pierce.  They presented a power point at the latest assembly to keep the students and faculty informed.  Students in Environmental Awareness will periodically collect donations from class to class.  You may donate:  dried fruits, powdered Gatorade, powdered Powerade, unsalted sunflower seeds, rice, jams, jellies and pasta.  You may drop off the donations in Mr. Izquierdo’s classroom.

Environmental Awareness is also in the process of implementing a schoolwide recycling program.  Mr. Rod Duncan, father of Sofia Duncan,  is leading the effort by meeting with the Waste Management to initialize the process. Along with the help of Life Cue, CTV, Civics and Public Relations, we will help Conchita Espinosa Academy go green!  For more information, you may contact aizquierdo@conchitaespinosa.com
